I attended The Paper and Book Intensive in Oxbow, Michigan. In Andrea Dezsö’s class, I made four tunnel books in 4 days. Some of these will be on display at the Kentuck Gallery in Northport, Alabama in July.
Model of Nag Hammadi #6, which is one of the first examples of a codex binding.
These books were made between 1999-2001 and contain objects collected from my grandmother’s house.
Each page of this book was covered with an ingredient for making a cake, and then baked in the oven.
12″ x 9″ x 5″, 5 pages, mixed media, 1999.
