This book displays collaged images
of women, collected from food labels found in one neighborhood grocery store. Each woman is displayed on her own paper alter.

In 2006, I printed only broadsides as I became proficient in letterpress printing and typesetting. Here are some samples of my broadsides. All of these examples are set in lead type and demonstrate different methods of image-making including linoleum block cuts, photoploymer plates and colographs.
Witness, 1956
Witness, 1956 is an abstracted map of the University of Alabama campus, marking the violent protests which took place during the first attempt at racial integration at the school. The only named physical landmark on the map is a live oak tree. The other locations on the map are indicated only by the events that transpired there, and a date. Witness, 1956 is a physical retracing of history, linking the past to the present.
The structure is a french-fold, a single piece of paper folded 2 times across the horizontal and vertical axis.
